A new encryption task, hexToBase64, has been introduced in Deluge. It encodes binary data represented as a hexadecimal string into Base64 format, making it useful for encoding encrypted data for transmission, formatting payloads, and ensuring compatibility with APIs that require Base64-encoded input.

For more information, visit the Hex to base64 encode task help doc.

The throw statement has been introduced in Deluge, giving you explicit control over error handling in your scripts. When a condition fails, such as an API returning an error, a validation check not passing, or a business rule being violated, you can use throw to immediately stop script execution and raise a custom exception with a message and an optional data payload of any Deluge type. Control is then passed to the nearest matching catch block for handling.

If no catch block is available, the script terminates and the execution is marked as failed, ensuring failures are never silently swallowed.

For more information, refer to the Throw statement help doc.

Deluge: Eigene Zugangsdaten (BYOC) in Custom Services

We've introduced the Enable Custom Credentials option while creating a service under Custom Services. When enabled during service creation, the client ID and client secret are no longer set at the service level. Instead, each user is prompted to enter their own client ID and client secret while creating a connection for that service, which are then used to generate the authentication tokens. This lets each user in your organization work with their own unique credentials and ensures that the service creator's credentials cannot be accessed or reused by others.

This option is supported for services using OAuth 1.0 and OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Deluge: Advanced Configuration in Custom Services

We've introduced a new Advanced Configuration section while creating a service in Custom Services. It offers two options:

  • Client Authentication: Specifies how the client_id and client_secret are sent to the OAuth token endpoint. You can choose to send them in the request body or in the Basic Auth header.
  • Dynamic Parameters: Lets you use dynamic parameters ({ParamLinkName}) as placeholders in Deluge webhook task URLs and connection authentication URLs.

For more information, visit the Connections help doc.
