Einkaufsbestellungen in Shopify Analytics auswerten

You can now review and export purchase order data in Shopify Analytics.

Three new reports help you understand your purchase orders:

  • Purchase order costs shows ordered items, quantities, supplier costs, estimated taxes, and purchase order costs.
  • Purchase order transfers follows purchase orders through transfers, shipments, and receiving.
  • Purchases on order shows open, ordered purchase orders that don't have linked transfers.

The Purchase Orders page also shows purchase orders, on-order purchase orders, total items ordered, acceptance rate, and shipments due soon.

Shop can now verify who a shopper is while they're browsing your store, even before they make a purchase.

For Shop users, this means checkout loads faster, carts sync across devices, sign-in is sped up with one-tap, and the Buy with Shop Pay button is pre-filled for a smoother, higher-converting checkout. Browsing activity also syncs to a shopper's Shop account, so Shop can resurface items they viewed and abandoned carts, helping you close the loop on conversions.

What this means for you:
* Faster checkout *_- less friction, faster load times
* *_Carts follow shoppers
- carts sync and stay up to date across a shopper's devices
* Better-converting Shop Pay button - personalized to show the card a shopper last used
* One-tap sign-in - for Shop users signing into their customer accounts
* Built-in recovery - Shop reminds shoppers to finish carts they left behind
* Two-way sync - carts started in the Shop app carry over to your storefront, and vice versa

Now supported on all browsers.

We’ve released improved support for 3 right-to-left languages (Arabic, Urdu, and Hebrew) in both Admin and Storefronts, including checkout, customer accounts and the Horizon family of themes.

Display language is determined based on the user’s device settings, if available. Product pages and other merchant-owned content will continue to be displayed in the languages that you have enabled. You can enable translations on your product details pages (PDPs) by using the Translate & Adapt app in the Shopify admin.

Get started with right-to-left languages by adding them in your admin.

You can now include discounts in Rollouts to run coordinated campaigns and test different offers before launching more broadly.

  • Schedule discount changes: Launch a new offer to a portion of online store traffic, then expand when you're ready.

  • Compare offers: Test discount changes against your existing offers and review conversion results to help decide which offer to keep.

  • Launch changes together: Schedule a discount to go live alongside your theme and checkout changes in a single rollout.

Your discount’s existing customer eligibility rules still apply. You can also continue using discount start and end dates to schedule standalone promotions.

Canvas is a new design surface for your online store. Every page is laid out together in one interactive, infinite workspace, so you can see how your whole store feels and work on any part of it in context.

In Canvas, you can:
* Pan across every page of your store and zoom in on any detail
* Click any element to edit it directly, or tell Sidekick what you want in the chat
* See Sidekick's changes land in real time, from a single section to a store-wide redesign
* Preview the real, working store, with interactions, animations, and different products, collections, and screen sizes
* Canvas is rolling out to existing stores over the coming days. Go to Online Store > Themes to create a new theme in Canvas, or duplicate a Shopify theme or custom theme in Canvas. Your original theme stays in the current theme editor.

At launch, Canvas doesn't support third-party themes from the Shopify Theme Store, Markets, rollouts, translations, or app blocks and app embeds. Themes edited in Canvas don't receive theme updates.

Eigene Notizen in Shopify Analytics hinzufügen

Your reports show what changed. You know why. Now, you're able to capture that story directly in Shopify Analytics.

Add annotations to supported time-series reports for the moments that shape your business, like a campaign launch, creator mention, supplier change, promotion, or operational improvement. Instead of leaving that context in memory, spreadsheets, or team threads, it stays beside the data where you expect to see shifts.

When you return to a report weeks or months later, you and your team can quickly understand why performance changed without piecing the story back together.

From the annotations panel, you can:
- Add a title, description, date or date range, and annotation type
- Use our auto-detected annotation categories or choose your own
- Edit, delete, and see who created each annotation
- Search and filter context from your team, installed apps, and Shopify

Annotations are shared with staff who have Reports permission and appear alongside context from Shopify and installed apps. Together, they create one shared history of what changed, what your business did, and why it mattered.

Shop's web experience has moved from shop.app to shop.com. Your store, products, and channel settings are unaffected — the change only affects the web address shoppers use to reach Shop.

What's changing

  • Shop's web experience now lives at shop.com instead of shop.app
  • Existing shop.app links redirect automatically to shop.com

What you need to do

Nothing. Your store, products, and channel settings carry over exactly as they are. If you've linked to shop.app anywhere (social bios, ads, etc.), you can update those links to shop.com at your convenience, though the redirect will continue to work.

You can now set return window overrides by market for specific collections, products, or variants. Overrides let you choose a different return period than your default return window - for example, 14 days for seasonal items instead of your standard 90 days.

How it works
* Overrides replace the default return window: If an item matches an override, that override's return window gets applied instead of your default or market-specific window.
* The shortest override wins: If an item matches more than one override, the shortest matching return window applies.
* Final sale still wins: Items marked as final sale can't be returned (or cancelled), even if they also match a return window override.
* Default rules apply otherwise: If an item isn’t final sale and doesn’t match an override, your market-specific return window applies. If no market-specific rules are set, your default return window applies.

Where to set it
Settings > Policies > Return and cancellation rules > Select specific market rules to modify > You can then select a target collection, product, variant to apply a return window override to.

Example
Set a 14‑day window for your “Holiday 2026” collection while keeping your storewide default at 90 days.

Staff can now create local delivery orders at checkout in Shopify POS. When a customer can't take an item home, you can arrange delivery in the same sale. You no longer need to ask them to reorder online or leave notes on the order.

Local delivery uses the delivery zones and rates you already set up for your online store. When you add shipping to a cart and the customer's address is in one of your delivery zones, local delivery shows up with your other shipping rates. Select it, confirm the customer's phone number, add any delivery instructions, and check out. The delivery address and fee show in the cart, on the receipt, and on the customer-facing display. You can then prepare and fulfill the order in POS, the same way you handle local delivery orders from your online store.

Things to know

Staff permissions: Local delivery uses your existing POS permissions, with some updates to how they apply:
* To create local delivery orders, staff need Create shipping and delivery orders (previously Ship to customer).
* To fulfill local delivery orders, staff now need Fulfill shipping, pickup, and delivery orders (previously Fulfill shipping and pickup orders). Previously, staff could fulfill local delivery orders without this permission.
* Review your staff roles before using local delivery in POS and add the fulfillment permission for anyone who needs to fulfill these orders.

Shopify POS now lets store staff run cycle and full stock counts directly in POS, making it easier to count inventory on the sales floor while keeping planning, review, and approval in Shopify Admin.

In Shopify Admin, users with the required permissions can create and schedule a stock count, select the location where the count will take place, and choose the products to include. Once created, the count automatically appears under Products > Stock counts in POS at the selected location.

In Shopify POS, staff with the inventory permission can open the count and record what’s on hand by scanning barcodes or entering quantities manually. When the count is complete, it is submitted for review in Shopify Admin.

Submitting a stock count from POS doesn’t immediately update inventory quantities. Users with the required permissions can review the completed count and any discrepancies before approving it and applying the resulting inventory adjustments. Shopify also keeps a record of what was counted, when the count was completed, and who performed it, providing an audit trail for inventory adjustments
.
Running stock counts in Shopify POS requires POS Pro and Shopify POS v11.16 or later.

Metaobject-Felder in Analytics-Berichten nutzen

If you attach a metaobject to a product, variant, customer, or order through a metafield, those fields can now be used in Analytics. A designer country, a warranty term, or a loyalty tier can group and filter a report the same way a custom metafield can.

Merchant-owned metaobjects are already enabled. You can turn a definition off if you don't want it in reports.

What you can do
- Open a report and pick fields under Metaobjects, then the resource, the definition, and the field. For example, Designer, then Country.
- Filter to a single value, like a designer in Italy.
- Use the same fields in the query editor.
- Turn a definition on or off in Settings > Metafields and metaobjects. Open the metaobject and use Filter or group data in Analytics.

What stays the same
- Your metaobjects, and the metafields that point to them, are unchanged.
- Custom metafields and category metafields stay in the picker, in their own groups.
- Metaobjects created by an app stay off until you or the app turn Analytics on for that definition.

Kategorie-Metafields jetzt in Analytics verfügbar

Until now, the color, material, fit, and other attributes you set when you categorize a product stayed on the product page. To see which materials or colors actually sell, you had to export.

Those category metafields now show up in Analytics as dimensions and filters, next to your custom metafields. If you already categorized products, there's nothing to turn on. The attributes your products use are there.

What you can do
- Group a sales report by Color, Material, Fit, Fabric, Size, Activity, or any other category metafield on your products.
- Filter a report to a specific value, like organic cotton or a particular color.
- Use them in Reports, Explore, and the query editor.

What stays the same
- How you categorize products hasn't changed.
- Custom metafields still work the way they do today.
- If a product has more than one value for an attribute, Analytics keeps those values together on one row so sales aren't counted twice.

Steuer auf Rücksendegebühren ab 23. Oktober 2026

Starting October 23, 2026, for merchants using Shopify Tax or Tax Platform in the United States, return shipping fees will be taxed like any other shipping charge. Shopify calculates and applies the tax automatically, so you don’t need to fix under-collection on returns.

When you create a return, you’ll see the estimated tax. When you process the return, we record the final amount. These taxes flow into your tax reports automatically.

This update applies to orders shipped to US addresses. Your existing shipping tax settings still apply — if you’ve set shipping to be untaxed in a state, return shipping fees in that state remain untaxed.

*What you need to do: *
- If you use a manual workaround today to calculate, collect, import, or reconcile tax on return shipping fees, review it before October 23 to avoid double-counting tax.
- Otherwise, no action is required.

The Developer Dashboard shows how your custom apps perform, not only how they are set up.

Open any custom app to see its API request volume, error rates, webhook delivery health, and embedded admin page load speed. Each measurement has a clear threshold, so you can tell good from bad at a glance. A single filterable stream holds every API request, webhook delivery, and app event, so you can find the cause when an app stops working.

A new home page shows what needs your attention across all of your apps. Agencies and developers who build your custom apps see the same data.

Come see what's new:

Bessere Sitzungsmessung in Shopify Analytics ab 21. September 2026

Starting September 21, 2026, Shopify is improving the sessions experience in Analytics to give merchants a cleaner view of real shopper activity. As a result, sessions, conversion rate, and other session-based metrics might look different after this update.

This doesn't necessarily mean that your traffic, orders, or customer behavior changed. This update gives you a cleaner session baseline by focusing the default sessions experience on human visitors where the Human or bot filter is available, classifying bot/system traffic more consistently, and keeping valid shopper journeys visible even when they don't include a standard pageview.

Session-based metrics that might look different include:
* Sessions
* Conversion rate
* Add-to-cart rate
* Reached checkout rate
* Checkout conversion rate
* Bounce rate
* Pageviews per session
* Online store visitors
* Searches

Orders, sales, and customer counts aren't changed by this session measurement update.

When you compare reports before and after September 21, 2026, treat this as a new baseline for session-based metrics.
