Automatic change data feed is generally available
Automatic change data feed (Auto CDF) computes row-level changes at query time using row tracking, so you don't need to manually enable change data feed on each Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg v3 table. Auto CDF removes write-time overhead and makes MERGE and UPDATE operations about 15% faster on tables that you query for changes. Row tracking must be enabled on the table. Parse SQL statements with parse_sql
The parse_sql function parses a SQL statement and returns structured JSON that contains statement metadata, table references, select-list expressions, or parser error information.
from_protobuf skips malformed unselected fields when schema pruning is enabled
When protobuf schema pruning is enabled, from_protobuf no longer decodes or validates fields that a query does not select. A malformed unselected field no longer nulls the row in PERMISSIVE mode or fails the query in FAILFAST mode.
JDBC pushdown correctly handles null literals
JDBC pushdown now emits the SQL NULL literal instead of the string 'null'. Queries that group expressions such as NULLIF now produce a null group instead of a separate 'null' string group. …
