Zerobyte 0.43.2: Korrekturen bei Mirror-Syncs, Passwörtern und Benachrichtigungen

Version 0.43.2 behebt mehrere Fehler: Fehlgeschlagene Mirror-Syncs lösen bei aktivierten Fehlerbenachrichtigungen nun Meldungen aus, das Bearbeiten eines Repositorys behält die gewählte Passwortauswahl, Update-Benachrichtigungen schließen Prereleases aus, das Layout der Kompressionsstatistik auf Mobilgeräten ist korrigiert und CLI-Passwortzurücksetzungen erzwingen die Längenvorgaben von 8–128 Zeichen.

Fixes

  • Mirror sync failures now send notifications when failure notifications are enabled
  • Editing a repository now preserves its custom password selection.
  • Update notifications now exclude prereleases.
  • Fixed the compression statistics layout on mobile.
  • CLI password resets now enforce the same 8–128 character limits as the application.

The Windows installer is currently unsigned. On Linux, make the AppImage executable before launching it: chmod +x zerobyte*.AppImage.

Zerobyte 0.43.0: Konfigurationsexport, Mirror-Sync und Recovery-Key-Erinnerung

Version 0.43.0 ermöglicht den Export und Import einer verschlüsserten Komplettkopie der Organisationskonfiguration, das Abschalten automatischer Health Checks pro Repository sowie das gezielte Synchronisieren fehlender Snapshots in einen Mirror, außerdem gibt es eine Erinnerung zum Recovery-Key-Export, eine verbesserte Snapshot-Navigation mit Detailangaben und neu hinzugefügte Repositorys und Benachrichtigungsziele erscheinen ohne Neuladen.

New features

  • Export an encrypted full copy of your organization's configuration and import it when setting up another Zerobyte instance
  • Turn off automatic health checks for individual repositories while keeping manual checks available.
  • Check which snapshots are missing from a mirror and choose which ones to sync.

Improvements

  • Organization admins receive a reminder if the recovery key has not been exported in over a year.
  • Snapshot browsing now includes easier navigation and file or directory details such as path, size, modification time, and permissions.

Fixes

  • Newly added repositories and notification destinations now appear in backup settings without requiring a page reload.

Zerobyte desktop v0.43.0-alpha.1 ist eine frühe Alpha für macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows x64 und Linux x64, wobei die macOS-App signiert und notarisiert ist, der Windows-Installer noch unsigniert bleibt und alle Downloads signierte Build-Provenance-Attestierungen haben.

macOS Apple Silicon, Windows x64, and Linux x64. Expect rough edges and verify important restores independently.

The macOS app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. The Windows installer is unsigned while code signing is being set up. All three downloads have signed GitHub build-provenance attestations.

On Linux, make the AppImage executable before launching it: chmod +x zerobyte*.AppImage.

Zerobyte desktop v0.42.0-alpha.1 ist eine frühe Alpha für macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows x64 und Linux x64, wobei der macOS-Build und der Windows-Installer unsigniert sind und unter Linux das AppImage zuerst ausführbar gemacht werden muss.

The macOS build is unsigned. After dragging it to Applications, clear its quarantine attribute:

The Windows installer is currently unsigned, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may show a warning.

On Linux, make the AppImage executable before launching it: chmod +x Zerobyte*.AppImage.

Version 0.42.0 bringt eine Activity-Seite mit filterbarem Verlauf von Hintergrundvorgängen, überschreibbare Kompressionsmodi für Backup-Jobs, Live-Fortschritt und Abbruch bei der Mirror-Synchronisierung, neu gegliederte Einstellungen, gespeicherte Tabellensortierung, aktualisierte rclone 1.75.0 und Shoutrrr 0.17.0 sowie mehrere Fehlerbehebungen bei Restores, Retention-Policies und dem CLI-Befehl change-username.

New features

  • Added an Activity page with filterable history for many operations that are happening in the background. Entries include live status updates, outcomes, timing, and task details.
  • Backup jobs can now override their repository’s compression mode.

Improvements

  • Mirror synchronization now displays live progress and can be cancelled from the backup settings.
  • Settings have been re-organized into Personal, Organization, and Instance scopes into it's own sub-menu.
  • Table sorting preferences now persist across sessions.
  • Updated bundled rclone to 1.75.0 and Shoutrrr to 0.17.0.

Fixes

  • Restores from read-only volumes can no longer target the original location.
  • Empty retention policies are now consistently treated as disabled when creating or editing schedules.
  • The change-username CLI command now updates the account’s in-app displayed name.

Version 0.41.0 erlaubt das Abbrechen von Restores, bietet für SFTP-Volumes eine Option zum Erhalt von Symlinks mit absoluten Zielen oder ..-Pfadbestandteilen, unterstützt Backup-Webhooks zu vertrauenswürdigen Endpunkten mit selbstsignierten TLS-Zertifikaten, führt Repository-Checks, Snapshot-Löschung und Re-Tagging im Hintergrund aus, stellt per Neustart unterbrochene Backups erneut in die Warteschlange, aktualisiert Restic auf 0.19.1 und behebt Darstellungsfehler.

  • Added an option for SFTP volumes to preserve symlinks with absolute targets or .. path components
  • Backup webhooks can now connect to trusted endpoints with self-signed TLS certificates

  • Repository checks, snapshot deletion, and snapshot re-tagging run as background operations
  • Scheduled backups interrupted by restart are warned and are queued again
  • Updated Restic to 0.19.1

  • Fixed long cron expressions overflowing schedule cards and backup details
