Bills:

• You can now quickly and easily create multiple bills in Xero. Select files or drag and drop files directly from your desktop to upload to Xero. Xero will create a draft bill with key details entered and the source document attached.

Practice Manager:

• Client insights is now available in Practice Manager to help accountants grow their advisory offering by highlighting clients for timely conversations about emerging issues.

Fixed assets:

• You can now attach purchase invoices, warranties, service records and other documents against assets. product ideas

• You now get an alert if Xero identifies any potential duplicate bills or credit notes. This reduces the risk of paying the same supplier twice. product ideas

Online payments: 

• You can now add Klarna as payment option on your invoices. Giving your customers more ways to pay. product ideas
• We've made it easy to accept payments without the need to create an invoice, by adding new functionality that enables you to generate a payment link to get paid. product ideas

Practice Manager: 

• You can now select multiple options for the job category when you filter the All jobs or My jobs tab in the Job manager.

Reports:

• We've introduced a preview panel in the layout editor of all reports, to help customise the layouts of reports. product ideas

Connected apps: 

• Jobber customers can now connect their account to their Xero organisation to sync contact and invoice information from Jobber to Xero.

Xero HQ:

• You can now delete in bulk any archived client records that were the result of completing your single client record.
• You can now filter your client list for more information. To get the most relevant view of clients you can also combine multiple filters. product ideas

Xero HQ and Practice Manager:

• Client notes are now shared between practice tools. Any changes you make to the notes in one tool show in the other tool and vice versa. product ideas

Hubdoc:

• We’ve introduced the ability to upload up to 10 documents at once using the Hubdoc mobile app, helping you save time capturing multiple bills and receipts and reduce everyday admin. Users can upload a combination of both gallery and capture photos. product ideas

Invoicing:

• We've introduced the ability to add placeholders such as [due date] to emails in new invoicing to easily populate key information in emails to end customers. product ideas

Online payments: 

• We've made it easier to manage your online payment methods to help you customise how you get paid by adding the ability to toggle payment methods on and off without leaving Xero. product ideas

Partner Central: 

• You can now manage your relationship with Xero in Partners Central. Here you can view your partner status and points breakdown, view certifications, badges and find out who to contact.

Invoicing:

• We've added the ability to attach files to invoices from the Xero file library to the new version of invoicing, allowing you to attach files on the spot without having to download them first.

Payroll: 

• Pay calendars are now known as pay frequencies.

Practice Manager: 

• We've made the following updates for New Zealand tax users, in accordance with Inland Revenue’s annual tax changes.

  • Updated the ACC rate, maximum levy and earnings changes to $1.53 per $100, $139,384 and $2,132.57 respectively.

  • Updated the student loan repayment threshold to $22,828. The repayment rate stays unchanged at 12% and the adjusted net income threshold stays unchanged at $500.

  • Updated the minimum family tax credit (FTC) threshold of working for families to $40,286. The abatement rate stays unchanged at 27% and the FTC rate for first child increases to $7,121 and second child to $5,802. The BSTC rate increases to $3,632 or $69 per week. There are no changes for the IWTC.

  • We’ve introduced new error codes to prevent IR6B and IR6S filed with the beneficiary or settlor IR number matching the IR number of the trust filing the return. A beneficiary’s or settlor’s IR number can only be used once. The IR number of a trust can’t be used for a beneficiary or settlor. For beneficiaries or settlors of multiple trusts, you can use their IR number on multiple returns. …

Bank feeds: 

• When searching for a bank to connect to Xero, you can now click the information icon next to the bank name to see the bank's URL. This makes it easier to connect the correct bank.

Homepage:

• We've introduced a new homepage view so new users can see how the widgets can become more valuable with time, and added a preview to see how they might look in the future. We've also added tooltips to provide concise contextual info, and added buttons to guide you to explore features.

 

Invoicing:

• We've introduced an inline inventory edit button in new invoicing to help you update inventory items as you add them to an invoice.

Reports:

• If your organisation uses multicurrency, you can now see foreign currency disclosures and exchange rate notes on selected reports. product ideas

Practice Manager: 

• When you import jobs into Practice Manager, archived clients are filtered out. If you have duplicate clients in your archive (for example, from completing your single client record), they won't impact your import.

Online payments: 

• We’ve expanded our partnership with Stripe to develop a more embedded payments experience. You can now manage more of your payments within Xero, like refunds. You'll also see more transaction data from Stripe within Xero — like the details of invoice payments made via Stripe.

User settings: 

• You can now see which user is a practice staff when you view an organisation’s invited users.

Xero Accounting for iOS and Android:

• The Xero Accounting App allows you to set up mobile alerts for eligible bank accounts, so you can be alerted to new statement lines that need to be reconciled. product ideas

• You can now sort and filter your customer's outstanding invoices on your mobile device, allowing you to chase payments easier.

• Export any Xero HQ chart of accounts template, including those provided by Xero and custom ones, into CSV files. product ideas

• You can now see and edit the system accounts when you import, create and apply chart of accounts templates in Xero HQ to your client organisations. product ideas

• A staff member can now have an administrator user role in multiple practices. This change also allows a master administrator in one practice to have an administrator role in another practice.
