Plaid, 24.

  • Updated the left-hand navigation of the Plaid Dashboard for improved ease of use.
  • Added connection_availability field to the Institution object. It is NOT_SUPPORTED when Plaid does not support new connections to the institution (which can only occur on /institutions/get_by_id responses), and SUPPORTED otherwise.
  • Added optional roll_dates_forward field to the custom Sandbox user configuration object. When set to true, when the Item is created, the most recent transaction activity date will always be the current date and other transaction activity will be rolled forward to match.

For Link:

  • Released iOS SDK v7.1.2 , fixing a bug where onLoad was not called for Identity Verification sessions.
  • Released iOS SDK v7.2.0 , fixing security issues, adding automatic session handoff for Embedded Link and delivering the Embedded Link start-failure onExit callback on the main thread. With this release, Safari Web Inspector can no longer attach to production Link sessions on iOS; WebView inspection is now limited to Sandbox.
  • Released iOS SDK v6.5.2 , adding security improvements. …

Plaid, 11.

  • Enhanced Sandbox capabilities with the launch of Sandbox Studio in the Dashboard. Customers can now make Sandbox API calls directly via the Dashboard, create custom Sandbox profiles based on a text description, and save institutions to Sandbox profiles for testing Layer and the Returning User Experience.
  • Improved user experience for accessing Fidelity Investments. New customers on Custom and Growth plans will get Fidelity access within 4 weeks (reduced from 8 weeks), and customers on Pay-as-you-go plans can request access via the Dashboard OAuth institutions page rather than having to file a support ticket.
  • Improved user experience for accessing Charles Schwab. New customers will get Schwab access within 5 business days (reduced from 6 weeks), and customers on Pay-as-you-go plans do not need to explicitly request access.
  • Removed unused account subtypes installment (loan) and charge card (credit). These subtypes were never returned by the Plaid API. …

Plaid, 3.

  • Added a Billing page to the Dashboard for customers on negotiated rates, providing visibility into invoice and payment history.

For Link:

  • Released React Native SDK v13.0.5 , adding an explicit Identity Verification session API that creates and returns the native Link session without waiting for the onLoad callback. The behavior of the existing createPlaidLinkSession is unchanged. Bundles Android SDK v6.1.0 and iOS SDK v7.1.0.
  • Released React Native SDK v13.1.0 . New features include improved migration diagnostics and troubleshooting for the usage of removed methods; adding a named sdkVersion export and deprecating the raw native-module default export; and included guidance for AI coding agents.

For Auth and Transfer:

  • Announced upcoming Chase consent and Tokenized Account Number (TAN) expiration. Chase has begun rolling out a new OAuth consent experience in which the end user must choose a consent duration of 6 months, 1 year, or "always". When consent expires, the Item will break and any TAN associated with the account will expire along with it, causing payments made using that TAN to fail. The consent prompt appears on new Items only, and existing Chase Items default to "always", but a user can change the duration for any Chase connection in the Chase Security Center. Because the shortest available duration is 6 months, the earliest expiratio…

Plaid, 17. August 2026: Identity-Fix, Dashboard-Einstellungen, Android SDK 6.2.1

Oktober 2026 verschoben.

  • Improved behavior of Identity endpoints when called on non-depository Capital One accounts where identity data is not available. The failure to fetch identity data in this scenario will no longer cause the Item to enter an error state.
  • Improved accuracy of Item consent expiration data at institutions that enforce expiration dates. Some Items may show a revised consent expiration date as a result of these changes. Items will also now reliably enter an error state when they expire, regardless of whether Plaid is attempting to fetch new data from the institution or not.
  • Redesigned the UI of the Settings page in the Dashboard to display a full-page view with a link to each setting, rather than the navigation being entirely within the left nav bar.

For Link:

  • Released Android SDK v. 6.2.1 , including a bug fixes for OAuth flows when linking multiple institutions.

For Auth:

  • Pushed out the date on which limited-purpose checking accounts for existing institutions will be omitted from Link by default. Originally, this change was scheduled to take effect August 7th, 2026. It has been extended to October 6, 2026. To opt in to allowing limited purpose checking accounts, see Enabling limited purpose checking accounts for rent or mortgage .

  • Added support for returning Annual Percentage Yield (APY) data on accounts via the new apy field.
  • Added /sandbox/user/fire_webhook for firing test webhooks associated with a user (primarily Income and Plaid Check Consumer Report webhooks) rather than an Item.
  • Added /user/items/associate for associating Items with a user id (Early Availability only).

For Link:

  • Released iOS SDK v7.0.5 , preventing SwiftUI Link sheet interactive dismissal so Link cannot be dismissed without triggering onExit, and deprecating PlaidLinkView and PlaidLinkUIViewControllerRepresentable in favor of PlaidLinkSheet or session.sheet().

  • Released Android SDK v6.2.0 , fixing a bug in which document uploads during the Link flow would sometimes fail, reducing minimum supported Android SDK version from 26 to 25, narrowing ProGuard rules to improve stack trace readability in minified apps, and removing the unused okhttp3 logging-interceptor dependency. …

Plaid, 17.

For Link:

  • Released iOS SDK v7.0.2 , containing a fix for an issue in which onSuccess would sometimes not be called.
  • Released iOS SDK v7.0.3 , containing a fix for missing fields in the onSuccess callback.

For Plaid Check Consumer Report:

  • Added the ability to suppress the GSE details section from appearing in the PDF Home Lending Report via a new hide_gse_details parameter in /cra/check_report/verification/pdf/get .
  • To aid in troubleshooting, added error, repairable_items, and failed_products fields to the CHECK_REPORT_FAILED and USER_CHECK_REPORT_FAILED webhooks.
  • Added an exclusion_code to ultrafico_score_results, exposing the FICO exclusion code that explains why an UltraFICO® score could not be computed.

For Identity Verification:

  • Added the new user.ip_address field to the /identity_verification/create request object, allowing customers who use the backend-only flow to send an IP address for use in risk evaluation.

For Investments Move:

  • Significantly improved institution coverage, now supporting ACATS transfers at 2,700 institutions.

For Liabilities:

  • Significantly improved coverage and fill rates for credit card APR data. …

Plaid, 9.

For Identity Verification:

  • Added a map-based visualization showing the end user's associated locations, including their IP address geolocation, reported address, and document address. The visualization also reports the distance between these locations and provides a risk level assessment based on the degree of location discrepancy.
  • Added new fraud labels and a new categorization scheme. New categories and associated labels are: User account and identity (labels: user account takeover, stolen identity, sythnetic identity, multiple user accounts, scam victim), bank account or payment method (labels: bank account takeover, bank account connection, card testing), transaction (labels: unauthorized transaction, card chargeback, ACH return, dispute), and behavior (labels: first-party fraud, missed payment, loan stacking, money laundering).

For Investments:

  • Added support for OpenFIGI securities data via the new figi field. Because the FIGI identifier, unlike CUSIP and other identifier fields, is immutable, both clients and Plaid can now more accurately track a holding's identity, without being impacted by corporate actions such as name changes, acquisitions, and delistings.

For Layer:

  • Made the ability to enable Intelligent Account Sorting self-serve via the Dashboard.

For Transactions:

  • Added cash advance, late fee, membership fee, returned item fee as possible values to the transaction_code enum.
