Chargebee Release Notes

We have now added support for Chargebee Unbilled Charge API. Chargebee users who elect to use invoice as contract configuration can now leverage this feature to recognize revenue for subscriptions where the products and/or services are delivered and yet to be invoiced till the next billing cycle. The direct integration allows RevRec to recognize the revenue without any manual workaround. Additionally, RevRec will automatically pro-rate the amount of the next invoice by the unbilled charge, and reflect the incremental revenue accurately.

For Chargebee users who use invoice as contract and billing by contract configuration, RevRec can now show the revenue and unearned revenue balance based on the Chargebee invoice number both on the User Interface and MicroStrategy reports. This allows you to easily link revenue results with the billing data, without manual processes.

It was identified that the usage of the Enter key, while you are in the Notes field, resulted in the generation of the invoice instead of allowing you to move to the next line. This is now fixed!

A new section Cohort Templates is introduced under Auto Engagement. These cohorts are pre-configured rules which can be added as a rule for auto-engagement emails.

We have added validations in the payment section to have at least one payment method selected in Checkout.

The user was not able to access the report that was created via the report builder. This issue was identified and resolved.

The attachments were not being sent while replying from the Activity View page. This has been fixed.

Code change for high-value currencies in disabled mode.

We now perform UTF-8 based email validation on hosted pages.

Standard templates were provided to users on a RevenueStory standard plan with this release. Using predefined templates in the Visual Reports section, they can quickly create a new visual report without having to start from scratch.

Creating quotes for changing billing cycles to forever from fixed for subscriptions in "Active" status was not functioning as expected. This is now fixed!

The Pay Order (PO) Numbers were not being generated for quotes created via API. This is now fixed!

The HubSpot Quote-to-Cash integration failed to sync an updated company record in Chargebee. This is fixed.

In addition to configuring Nexus states for taxability, you can now contact Chargebee Support to allow syncing only transactions for Nexus-configured states to TaxJar.

With this release,

Merchants can decide which user roles in their organization can edit the Account Statement, Ledger Settings, and Reminder Invoice list.

In the roles & permission modal, we have added three settings under the Admin settings section - Can configure Account Statement - Can configure Ledger - Can configure Reminder Invoice List

If the permission is checked, then a hyperlink for that setting will be displayed on the settings page.

Chargebee now sends the available GSTIN or VAT number of your customers for all countries (and not just the European Union) to third-party tax providers irrespective of the origin or the destination.

The sidebar functionality is available on all pages in Classic UI. However, it is only available on a limited number of pages in Leap UI. We have added a sidebar on pages like Invoice, Credit Notes, and more to maintain consistency.

While attempting to override the parent/child relationship for a subscription to make the child as payment owner, an error was displayed that the subscription has unbilled charges when there were no unbilled charges found in the associated record. This issue has been fixed!

Support for special characters in the Chargebee email id has been enabled with this release.

We have polished some rough edges to make the user experience better. The full page layout for checkout is now better than it was.
