How can you use it?

Quote Forms in Quote Form Builder now include an Advance Invoices option. This option is designed to help your sales team generate invoices upfront and collect advance payments from customers before the product or service is delivered.

Why is this important?

When your sales team can control invoice generation at the quote stage, it results in: - Better clarity around billing periods, so customers clearly understand what they are paying for. - A smoother quote-to-cash process, by aligning invoicing with the quote's billing terms. - Faster collections, since collecting payments upfront helps reduce delays.

How can you use it?

1. Log in to your Chargebee Billing site. 2. Go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > CPQ > Billing and Terms. 3. Enable the option Generate Advance Invoices while configuring billing terms in the quote form. Once enabled, Chargebee automatically displays the corresponding invoice period (start date to end date). We've enhanced Chargebee CPQ to extend language pack support to metered addons in quotes. Previously, translations from the CSV language pack were applied only to non-metered addons, while metered addons continued to display the default English label.

Why is this important?

If you operate in multiple languages, accurate translations in quotes help you present a consistent buying experience and reduce confusion for customers. This fix ensures that metered addons display the correct localized labels, helping you maintain brand consistency and avoid manual workarounds.

How can you use it?

To apply translations for addons, continue updating the relevant entries in your CSV language pack and upload them to your site. Translations for both metered and non-metered addons will now reflect correctly in newly created quotes based on the customer's preferred language.

Why is this important?

This enhancement lets you define contract term renewal behavior directly from your pricing table flow, no workarounds needed. You can enforce a cancellation cutoff period to ensure sufficient time for processing contract closures. This gives you the flexibility to model fixed-term subscriptions—paid in installments—that renew automatically.

How can you use it?

When creating pricing page sessions, pass the parameters. This works for both new and existing customers. Once the customer completes their purchase via Checkout, the contract term settings are applied to the subscription.

Currently, plans, addons, and charges are created in NetSuite when first synced from Chargebee, but subsequent updates to those items in Chargebee are not synced to the NetSuite item master record.

Why is this important?

When plans, addons, and charges are updated in Chargebee but not reflected in NetSuite, the item master record in NetSuite can become outdated, leading to inconsistencies in internal reports and operational analysis. While invoice creation continues to use the latest Chargebee data, reporting that relies on the NetSuite item record may not reflect current values. This enhancement helps you maintain accurate reporting in NetSuite while ensuring that accounting-sensitive fields remain protected from retrospective changes in closed periods.

How can you use it?

1. In your Chargebee Billing site, go to Apps > NetSuite Configure Advanced Sync Rules.
2. Enable Sync Item Updates to start syncing non-GL-impacting fields from Chargebee to NetSuite for existing items, such as rate, tracking categories, supported custom fields, and rule ID.

You can now automatically inherit entitlements from individual items (Plans, Add-ons, and Charges) into Product Bundles in Chargebee. When items with configured entitlements are added to a product bundle, Chargebee automatically calculates and applies the corresponding entitlements at the bundle level.

Why is this important?

Previously, entitlements configured for individual items did not automatically apply when a product bundle was created using those items. You had to manually configure entitlements at the bundle level and update them separately whenever item-level entitlements changed. With this enhancement, entitlement configuration is streamlined, improving operational efficiency and ensuring consistent entitlement management across items and bundles.

How can you use it?

Entitlements for product bundles are automatically enabled when you turn on product bundling for your site. To enable product bundling, go to Configure Chargebee > Product Catalog > Product Bundling.

Chargebee now supports entitlement overrides at the item price level within subscriptions, allowing you to configure custom entitlements for individual items (plans, addons, or charges) for a specific subscription.

Why is this important?

This provides greater flexibility for enterprise contract scenarios by enabling precise entitlement configuration at the item price level. You can customize entitlement values for individual subscriptions without impacting the default Product Catalog setup, while ensuring automatic and accurate recalculation during subscription changes.

Chargebee CPQ for Salesforce now generates a Checkout or Quote Acceptance link when you create a one time charge quote and auto-populates it in the Chargebee Checkout link field. This gives you a ready to share link that lets the customer accept the quote and complete payment through Checkout, while ensuring the transaction is created in Chargebee and synced back to the quote.

Why is this important?

This update gives you a consistent link based acceptance flow across new business, amendments, renewals, and one time charges. You can keep your sales led workflows intact, reduce manual follow ups, and ensure purchases are accepted through the correct flow so Chargebee records the transaction and syncs quote details accurately.

How can you use it?

1. Create a one time charge quote in Salesforce.
2. Copy the generated link from the Chargebee Acceptance link field and share it with the customer to collect payment details and complete quote acceptance.

You can now configure a free period when creating subscriptions directly from Salesforce. This option is available on the Manage CB Products page, allowing you to offer a defined introductory duration before recurring billing begins without using a trial.

Why is this important?

This helps you support sales-led growth by giving your sales team more flexibility to close deals while keeping billing logic simple. It is especially useful when you want to exclude usage charges during the initial period, continue to apply one time charges such as setup or onboarding fee, if needed, and avoid the complexity of ramp configurations. You also reduce manual effort by eliminating the need to adjust billing dates after subscription creation.

How can you use it?

You can enable the free period option during subscription creation in Salesforce for eligible plans that do not use trials. Once configured, Chargebee automatically calculates and applies the updated next billing date, ensuring your billing schedule reflects the agreed introductory duration without additional follow-up actions.

Discounts applied to metered items are now displayed in both consolidated (summary level pricing) and detailed quote PDFs (itemized charges).

Why is this important?

This enhancement gives your customers and sales teams clear visibility into how discounts apply across all charge types, including usage-based charges, reducing friction during quote review.

How can you use it?

No action required. When generating quote PDFs, you will now see discounts reflected for metered items alongside other charges.
