• Fixed the detected file suffix being ignored when saving inserted media or attachments (for #3701, thank you, @VXNCXNX)
• Note folders can now be set to use no cloud connection by selecting "None" in the Cloud connection combo box in the Note folder settings (for #3699)
  • Cloud versioning, cloud trash and note sharing are then disabled for that note folder, as if no cloud connection was configured at all
• There was a new release of QOwnNotes TUI, v0.6.0
  • Added a --session option for using a separate QOwnNotes settings and database context
  • Added <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Space</kbd> support for opening links and toggling checkboxes at the cursor in the viewer and editor

• Fixed the boundary arrow navigation in the note editor being dead on macOS, where pressing the Up arrow on the first line should move the cursor to the start of the line and Down on the last line to the end of it, because Qt delivers arrow keys with Qt::KeypadModifier set on macOS and the modifier is now masked off before comparing (for #3572, thank you, @VXNCXNX)
• The AppImage no longer requires libfuse2 to be installed separately because its FUSE userspace library is now included in the runtime (for #3694)
• Added configurable link hover highlighting to the note editor and preview, including dedicated Link hover colors for the Light and Dark editor schemas (for #3695)

• The new QOwnNotes TUI project provides a keyboard-first terminal browser and editor for local, QOwnNotes-compatible Markdown note folders
  • It can use note folders configured in QOwnNotes and follows its note sorting settings
  • Notes can be created, edited, searched, syntax-highlighted, renamed from their content, and safely deleted from the terminal, with automatic saving and external-change conflict detection
  • It supports configurable themes, mouse controls, Nix, and a Home Manager module
• Added support for highlighting and applying strikeout and other Markdown text formatting across multiple lines (for #3690)
• Improved performance when switching away from notes with wiki-style links when the Note relations panel was visible (for #3691)
• Renamed the Message boxes section in the General settings to Dialog preferences and clarified which remembered dialog choices can be reset (for #3692)

  • qc configure no longer fails with command not found when the configured editor is not installed on the system (for #24)
    • The editor is now resolved every time the config file is edited, falling back to the VISUAL and EDITOR environment variables and then to a list of common editors
    • A clear error message is shown when no editor could be found at all
  • The config file path is now quoted when it is passed to the editor, so paths containing spaces work as expected
  • Update dependencies
    • Go 1.25 is now required to build the project
