• Text file uploads: You can now upload plaintext (.txt) files to a Genie One conversation, in addition to the other supported file types. See Upload a file.
• Streaming responses: Genie One now streams responses in real time as they're generated, so answers appear progressively instead of loading all at the same time.
• Download a chat: You can now download a Genie One chat. See Manage chats in the sidebar.
• Personalized sample questions: Personalized sample questions now appear beneath the search bar on the Genie One homepage.

The managed GitLab connector is now available in Lakeflow Connect in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page.

Use the connector to ingest repository, project, group, CI/CD, and security data from GitLab into Databricks. The connector uses OAuth U2M authentication and supports incremental ingestion, UI-based pipeline authoring, Declarative Automation Bundles, and API-based pipeline authoring.

The Salesforce Data 360 file sharing connector (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud file sharing) will be available by default for workspaces with the compliance security profile enabled.

Use the connector in Lakehouse Federation to query Salesforce Data 360 data directly from cloud object storage without copying it into Databricks. Queries run on Databricks compute.

Lakeflow Jobs table update triggers can monitor OpenSharing objects and system tables. See Add a trigger to OpenSharing and system tables.

Excel and Google Sheets writeback now requires a workspace admin to enable the Allow spreadsheet writeback security setting. See Write data back to Databricks using the Databricks Excel Add-in and Write data back to Databricks from Google Sheets.

Query tags are now generally available. You can apply custom key-value tags to SQL workloads for grouping, filtering, and cost attribution on Databricks SQL warehouses and Lakehouse//RT compute. Tags appear in system.query.history and on the Query History page of the Databricks UI. See Query tags.

The following supported Postgres extensions are now available at newer versions. Existing installations keep their current version until you update them with ALTER EXTENSION.

• postgis, postgis_raster, postgis_sfcgal, postgis_tiger_geocoder, postgis_topology, address_standardizer, and address_standardizer_data_us: updated to 3.3.10 on Postgres 16, 3.5.7 on Postgres 17, and 3.6.4 on Postgres 18.
• hll: updated to 2.21 on Postgres 16, 17, and 18.

Genie One memory is now generally available. Genie One can retain specific facts you provide, such as your preferences and reporting conventions, and apply them in later conversations so you don't need to repeat the same context every time you chat. Memories are private to you and aren't shared with other users. Ask Genie One to remember something in a conversation, or let it suggest a memory when it detects a fact worth saving. Simba JDBC Driver (Legacy) 2.8.4 adds Java 25 support and upgrades libthrift, httpclient5, httpcore5, and lz4-java. Download it from the JDBC drivers archive under All JDBC Driver Versions (Simba).

OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol is now available on Unity Gateway. You can access this model using Foundation Model APIs.

The Agent Bricks CLI (databricks-agentbricks) is a command-line tool for building and deploying custom code agents on Databricks. Scaffold a project from a bundled framework template, run it locally, and deploy it to the Databricks agent runtime, with managed memory, sessions, tools, and MLflow tracing wired up from one authenticated command.

Attribute-based access control (ABAC) row filters and column masks now extend to views, in addition to tables. This lets you use ABAC policies to control access to sensitive data exposed through views.

Workspace admins can enable the ABAC on Views preview from the workspace settings Previews page. This feature requires Databricks Runtime 19 or above.

The Workday Activity Logging connector is now available in Lakeflow Connect in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page.

The connector incrementally ingests Workday user activity log events into Databricks. Authentication uses an OAuth refresh token.

The managed Okta System Logs connector is now available in Beta in Databricks Lakeflow Connect.

Use the connector to incrementally ingest audit and security events from the Okta System Log into Databricks. The connector uses SSWS API token authentication and supports Declarative Automation Bundles and API-based pipeline authoring.

The managed Microsoft 365 Unified Audit Logs connector is now available in Beta in Databricks Lakeflow Connect.

Use the connector to ingest unified audit events from Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 workloads into Databricks. The connector uses OAuth machine-to-machine authentication and supports incremental ingestion.

Thinking Machine Labs Inkling will be retired on October 30, 2026. GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3 are the recommended replacements. See Deprecated and retired models for migration guidance.

xAI Grok 4.7 is now available on Unity Gateway. You can access this model using Foundation Model APIs pay-per-token.

The CrowdStrike Falcon Event Stream connector is now available in Lakeflow Connect in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page.

The connector ingests Falcon Event Stream events from CrowdStrike Falcon into Databricks. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 client credentials from a CrowdStrike API client with Event streams Read permission.
