Wrangler and the Cloudflare API MCP server now use optional OAuth scopes. During authorization, you can choose which optional scopes to grant instead of approving every scope requested by each client.

The consent dialog now includes the option to edit the permissions you grant to Wrangler or the Cloudflare API MCP server:

OAuth consent dialog with an Edit Permissions button

You can then choose which specific permissions to grant:

OAuth permission editor with controls for individual scopes

Required scopes remain selected. Choosing fewer optional scopes limits each tool's access to the permissions needed for your workflow.

If a command or tool call needs a scope that you declined, reauthorize the client and grant that scope.

For more information, refer to wrangler login and Edit optional permissions.

Browser Run lets you automate headless browsers on Cloudflare's global network. Run full browser sessions for interactive workflows, or use Quick Actions for one-request tasks such as screenshots, PDFs, and capturing page content.

If you are on the Workers Paid plan, your default limits are now higher:

Limit

Previous

New

Concurrent browsers

120

200

New browser instances / second

1

3

Quick Actions requests / second

10

30

You can now run hundreds of browser sessions in parallel, launch new browsers faster, and process three times as many Quick Actions per second. These published limits are defaults, not maximums. If your workload needs more more concurrent browsers, request higher limits ↗︎.

Miniflare now automatically grants local Containers the Docker privileges required for Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE). This applies to wrangler dev, the Cloudflare Vite plugin, and direct Miniflare use.

Miniflare grants these privileges when the local Docker daemon runs inside a virtual machine (VM). This includes Docker engines on macOS and through Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). On Linux, Miniflare grants the privileges for local rootless Docker when /dev/fuse is available.

Rootful Docker on Linux does not support FUSE by default during local development. Miniflare does not grant FUSE privileges when the Docker daemon does not meet these conditions or cannot be inspected.

For requirements and troubleshooting, refer to FUSE support during local development. For a complete example, refer to Mount R2 buckets with FUSE.

Durable Object namespaces now have a Deployments tab in the Cloudflare dashboard, showing the versions of the backing Worker that are currently live and the traffic split between them.

The Deployments tab for a Durable Object namespace, showing two versions with their traffic %, requests/sec, error rate, and median wall time Go to Durable Objects ↗

A Durable Object namespace is backed by a Worker script, so its deployments are the same as that Worker's deployments. Previously, checking on a gradual deployment in progress for a Durable Object meant navigating to the backing Worker. The new tab surfaces that information directly on the namespace, alongside the metrics that matter for it: requests, error rate, and wall time per version.

The tab is read-only — promoting, rolling back, or splitting traffic on a deployment is still managed from the backing Worker's Deployments tab.

Workers: @cloudflare/vitest-pool-workers heißt jetzt @cloudflare/vitest-plugin

Version 1 of the Workers Vitest integration is published as @cloudflare/vitest-plugin ↗︎. The package was formerly named @cloudflare/vitest-pool-workers.

The Vitest configuration API is unchanged. Existing projects must update the dependency name, package imports, and TypeScript types entries.

To migrate automatically, run:

npmyarnpnpm

npx @cloudflare/codemods vitest:pool-workers-to-vitest-plugin
yarn @cloudflare/codemods vitest:pool-workers-to-vitest-plugin
pnpm @cloudflare/codemods vitest:pool-workers-to-vitest-plugin

The codemod updates your dependency, imports, and test TypeScript configuration. For manual migration steps, refer to Migrate to Vitest plugin.

For outbound request mocks in Workers tests, use the @msw/cloudflare ↗︎ integration. Refer to Mock outbound requests.

You now have two new ways to protect your Workers with Cloudflare Access.

Protect an application across all its domains at once

Until now, if a Worker was reachable on a route, a Custom Domain, and a workers.dev URL, you had to manually add each one to an Access application and keep the list in sync whenever routes or domains changed.

Now, Access attaches the policy to the Worker itself, so every associated domain and preview URL stays protected even when its routes or domains change.

Access setting for protecting a single Worker

Protect all new and existing Workers by default

Make all Workers private by default, so every existing and newly created Worker requires sign-in before anyone can reach it.

Account-wide Access setting that protects all Workers

If a specific Worker should remain publicly accessible, add a Worker-level bypass to exempt it.

Make a Worker public when all Workers are protected …

Artifacts now supports jurisdictions, allowing you to select the European Union or the United States as the only location where repo data is stored and processed.

Select a jurisdiction when you create a namespace. Every repo in that namespace automatically uses the selected jurisdiction.

curl --request POST \
  "https://api.cloudflare.com/client/v4/accounts/$ACCOUNT_ID/artifacts/namespaces" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{
    "namespace": "my-eu-namespace",
    "jurisdiction": "eu"
  }'

Jurisdictions cannot be changed after namespace creation. If you omit the jurisdiction, Artifacts creates an unrestricted namespace.

For supported jurisdictions and usage details, refer to Data localization.

Realtime: Zustellung von SFU-DataChannels steuern

Realtime SFU DataChannels unterstützen jetzt ungeordnete und teilweise zuverlässige Zustellung, während Kanäle standardmäßig weiterhin zuverlässig und geordnet bleiben.

Cloudflare Realtime SFU is a WebRTC selective forwarding unit that runs on Cloudflare's global network. It forwards audio, video, and application data between WebRTC clients without requiring you to manage SFU infrastructure or regions.

DataChannels are WebRTC channels for application messages. A client publishes a named DataChannel to Realtime SFU, and the SFU forwards its messages to every client that subscribes to that channel. Use DataChannels for low-latency payloads such as chat messages, game state, sensor updates, and control events.

What changed

Realtime SFU DataChannels now support unordered and partially reliable delivery. DataChannels remain reliable and ordered by default, so existing channels keep their current behavior.

With ordered delivery, a delayed message can block later messages. For game state or sensor updates, recent data may be more useful than recovering an older message. Unordered delivery lets later messages proceed, while partial reliability limits retransmission attempts or the transport's retry window.

Choose delivery behavior

Delivery settings answer two questions: whether newer messages can bypass a delayed message, and when the transport should stop retrying delivery. …

Agent Lee: Generierten Code exportieren

When Agent Lee generates a project for you — a starter static site, a Worker, a scaffold — you can now take the source with you. Agent Lee packages the generated files into a temporary repository and gives you a one-time command to clone it to your own machine.

Previously, generated code lived only in the conversation. You had to copy files out of the chat by hand, which is tedious for anything larger than a single snippet and easy to get wrong.

How it works

  • Ask Agent Lee to build something, then ask it to export the code.
  • An export card appears listing the files and a countdown to expiry.
  • Select Copy clone command. Agent Lee fetches a fresh command and copies it to your clipboard.
  • Run it in your terminal, then point the repository at your own Git host and push:
git remote set-url origin https://your-git-host.example/you/your-repo.git
git push -u origin main

Good to know

  • The export is temporary. The repository expires about 36 hours after it is created and is then deleted automatically. The clone credential expires about an hour after it is issued. Clone promptly, then push to a repository you control.
  • No credential appears in the chat. The clone command and its read-only credential are delivered only when you select Copy clone command — never in the message text or conversation history. …

Workers AI and AI Gateway now provide a unified path for accessing models and managing inference traffic. Use the same AI binding and REST API to call models hosted on Workers AI or by supported third-party providers, with AI Gateway providing observability, logging, caching, security, and billing controls.

Unified entrypoints and observability

The AI binding supports both Workers AI and third-party models through env.AI.run(). The REST API provides shared /ai/ endpoints with Cloudflare authentication across providers.

Route a Workers AI request through AI Gateway by specifying a gateway ID. Use default to automatically create a gateway on the first authenticated request, or specify an existing gateway to separate applications and workloads:

const response = await env.AI.run(
	"@cf/zai-org/glm-5.2",
	{
		messages: [{ role: "user", content: "What is the capital of France?" }],

Support for MySQL in Hyperdrive is now generally available. You can connect to any MySQL database from your Workers using Hyperdrive.

Hyperdrive makes your regional, MySQL databases fast when connecting from Cloudflare Workers. It eliminates unnecessary network roundtrips during connection setup, pools database connections globally, and can cache query results to provide the fastest possible response times.

You can connect using your existing drivers, ORMs, and query builders with Hyperdrive's secure credentials, with no code changes required. MySQL support is available at the same pricing as Postgres.

import { createConnection } from "mysql2/promise";

export default {

You can now restart a Hyperdrive configuration from the Cloudflare dashboard. Restarting drains the connection pool and forces Hyperdrive to establish new connections to your origin database.

Restarting is a break-glass action. Hyperdrive automatically detects and recovers from most database failovers. Use a manual restart only when you need to force the pool to drain immediately.

To restart, select your Hyperdrive configuration in the Cloudflare dashboard ↗︎, go to the Settings tab, and select Restart under Danger zone. Restarting requires the Hyperdrive Admin role. After a restart, the Settings tab shows when the configuration was last manually restarted.

The Danger zone section of the Hyperdrive Settings tab, showing the Restart and Delete actions.

Caution

Restarting drops all active connections in the pool and forces them to be re-established. In-flight queries may see brief errors while the pool rebuilds.

For more information, refer to Connection pooling.

AI Search gets you from a data source to a working search endpoint quickly. This release adds what you need to put that endpoint in front of real users: your own domain, authentication, and one endpoint across several instances. It also adds crawling for sites without a complete sitemap, so your index covers everything you want it to find.

Each of the following is a new option. The previous behavior is still the default, so nothing changes until you change it.

Serve search from your own domain

A public endpoint is a URL that a site or app can query directly, with no authentication in front of it. By default that URL is a generated hostname on search.ai.cloudflare.com. You can now serve the same endpoint from a custom domain, a hostname in a zone that you own:

https://search.example.com/search

Restrict who can query your content

Kitesurf is Cloudflare's new stateless, highly scalable browser that runs entirely on top of Workers and is designed for AI agents. It is available for free while in beta.

Compared to Chromium, Kitesurf uses 3–7× less CPU and memory for common agentic tasks like screenshots and HTML extraction, so you can run more sessions and scale better for bursty, AI-driven workloads.

Your existing clients already work. To opt in, add the browser=kitesurf parameter to any Browser Run CDP or Quick Action endpoint:

curl -X POST 'https://api.cloudflare.com/client/v4/accounts/<ACCOUNT_ID>/browser-run/screenshot?browser=kitesurf' \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer <API_TOKEN>' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{
    "url": "https://example.com"
  }' \
  --output "screenshot.png"

You can also explore Kitesurf without writing any code in the public playground ↗︎.

For more information, refer to the Kitesurf documentation and the blog announcement ↗︎.
